Welcome to Nursery

In Nursery, our main aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment which in turn will enable the children to thrive and learn.

Our goals for young children are:

  • to be happy and secure in the learning environment
  • to learn through active involvement with people, materials, events and ideas
  • to become independent, confident, resilient learners
  • to explore, relate to others, to set their own goals and solve problems.

We will strive to provide the children with a rich curriculum which meets the children’s interests, their wellbeing and yet still provides them with memorable first hand learning experiences.

We want our children to have the best possible start to their learning journey here in our wonderful Nursery!

We can't wait to work with you all,

Mrs Jackson, Mrs Kevan, Mrs Tough and Mrs Mumtaz

16.5.22 This week has been lots of fun! We have had our football coach, Mo, back in to work with us. We have also started preparation for our jubilee celebrations next week. We have also had Mr Parkin in to work with our afternoon children- we loved singing in the sunshine!

8.5.22 We have had a lovely week. We have been looking at Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have made porridge, we have ordered by size and used lots of vocabulary related to size. We have also enjoyed taking part in our Teddy Bear's picnic. We had a real baby in to visit and we thought about all the ways we have grown and changed since we were a baby! Our afternoon children enjoyed making and tasting jelly- it was delicious! Again, we thought about how it changed as it was made. Our new children are already very happy and settled in our setting- what a fantastic week!

Week beg 3.5.22 This week we have had a lovely outdoor week to help kick off our 'Growth and Change' theme. We enjoyed our morning with Phil from 'Muddy Monsters'. We also spent a morning down at the allotment. We weeded, planted, dug and sieved. We are loving learning all about plants, growing and change!
