Gateshead Library

We walked up to Gateshead Library to learn more about the importance of books. Books expand our imagination, help us with our creative writing and help us with our decoding of new and unfamiliar words. They also introduce us to new cultures and different ways of living.

The Librarian read us a funny story all about socks. It was good because it had a hidden message that it's ok to be different. We're all unique individuals and we should always be ourselves, no matter what!

We then had the exciting, but challenging task to choose our own books to take back to school. We had to choose a book that we'd not only enjoy, but that would challenge our reading.
