Alnwick Gardens

As part of out theme of Global Gardens, Year 2W went to visit Alnwick Gardens.  The children completed the Roots and Shoots workshop, which involved planting their own seeds and seeing inside a real bee hive.  

It was soon time for the children  to explore the cascade, before stopping for a spot of lunch on the cafe patio.  

After lunch, the children had to rescue Sleeping Beauty from the Wicked Witch by solving some very tricky puzzles, which were scattered around the gardens.  They managed to solve them and even had time to stop and have their photo with Humpty Dumpty!

The bus journey back to school saw at lot of children fall asleep, exhausted after a fantastic day out!
