Multiplication

Summer 1

This week the children have been using their multiplication and division skills to solve equivalence problems. The children used their knowledge to work out different problems, although this is tricky the children worked really hard! Well done! 

Spring 2

This week the children have been using their multiplication methods to complete multiplication grids. They had to use their multiplication knowledge by estimating and then checking their formal methods. We could really tell that the children had been using Timestable Rockstars to help with their timestables, it really works!

This week, we have been learning different multiplication methods.  We focused on the grid method method to begin with although some children found this difficult they soon became more confident. Some of the children, have also learnt the formal written multiplication method, this was something they particularly enjoyed!
