Year 2 visited Shildon Railway Locomotion to learn lots of interesting facts about George Stephenson. The children got to handle lots of railway artefacts and were able to see giant steam engines up close. They even saw a one in action outside on the tracks! A great visit which brought George Stephenson to life for all of the children.
