This week the children have been practicing their gymnastics skills. There was different stations where the children could practice various skills, including balancing, stretching and jumping! Another fun lesson for Y3/4B!

This week during P.E the children were split up into small groups, a circuit was created for them. There was four different stations with a variety of activities. These activities focused on different areas such as climbing and jumping. The children and Miss Brown had lots of fun!

Autumn 2

During a warm up game, the children were put into pairs and when the whistle was blown a letter was called out. They then had to use their body parts to create this letter. The children thought that this was very funny! The main part of the lesson was to use their balance skills to alternate each foot onto the top of the ball. Although some children found this tricky, they kept trying hard and practising! Following on from this, the children then played some games which involved their ball skills including the trap, dragging and stop.

Team Building

On Friday 19th October, the children participated in a range of different exercises during team building. The children and Miss Brown got very sweaty as we all worked extremely hard!

Newcastle Eagles- Basketball

Year 3/4B are lucky enough to have a coach from Newcastle Eagles to teach them different basketball skills throughout Autumn 1. They began by playing a game where they had to keep control of their ball by bouncing it whilst some children tried to get them off them. Following on from this, the children then learnt how to chest pass the ball. The children have all enjoyed learning these new skills.

High Five

In P.E we have been applying our throwing skills to a game of high five. The children were all very competitive!
