St Mary's Lighthouse

In Year 3/4B, we have taken inspiration from an artist called Max Ernst to create a frottage approach to St Mary’s Lighthouse. The children began by using different textures to create a range of rubbings before ripping them into pieces and creating the background. Next, the children had an opportunity to draw St Mary’s Lighthouse by experimenting with different types of media. As a class we decided charcoal was the most effective therefore the children drew the landmark using different lines of thickness.
