Welcome to Year 2B class page.

We have the recipe for success!

Take a group of enthusiastic children and add together caring and supportive teachers (don’t

forget to add teaching assistants!). Pour in lots of challenging and fun activities and sprinkle with excellent manners and behaviour. Stir until learning and progress is outstanding! Voila…a fantastic Year 2!

Join us on our fabulous learning journey as we use our skills to learn about our world in the past, present and future so that we can become valuable citizens of modern Britain.

Wow! What an incredible performance by our Y2 children ! A lot of hard work has gone into this performance and the children were OUTSTANDING! We are so proud of children and they have all worked incredibly hard this year. They have made soooo much progress and this is down to their amazing work ethic. We will miss them all so much next year but I am sure they will be popping in to see us. We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday.

Pupil of the Week (15.07.22)

A HUGE well done to Aminah who led her group amazingly well to design a community using lego. She carefully thought about what they would like in their community and created a spectacular community. I was amazed at the quality! Well done to one of our boys in the class who has showed great perseverance and resilience during sports day. You were fantastic! You are both super stars!

This week, the children have been taking part in a few different activities linked to STEAM. We have been busy designing and making a new bridge for the 'Three Billy Goat's Gruff' to cross and making a community out of lego. The children were given no instructions and they had to design and work collaboratively to build a bridge only using paper and cellotape. We had a wide range of different constructions but the girls were the only group that designed a bridge which supported the bear without collapsing. Well done! Then, we moved on to making a community out of lego and we had some spectacular designs ... take a look for yourself! We have some engineers in the making!

It was so nice to share books with our friends over biscuits and juice. Then, from a range of wrapped books with clues on, we had to choose which one we wanted to listen to and we got to listen to teachers, other than our own, reading a story. After that, we took part in Puffin’s story makers show where we joined our favourite authors and illustrators on imaginative story making missions.
