World War II

Using modelling clay and a map of Europe in 1939, we tracked the movements of the German, Italian and Soviet forces  across Europe, in the events leading up to the battle of Britain in the summer of 1940. It helped us to understand how war swept across Europe, and the importance of the Battle of Britain to keep us safe.
