Assessment in Writing
At Brighton Avenue, we have developed a writing curriculum in accordance with Gateshead LA assessment tools (Gateshead Assessment Profile - GAP). Children in each year group are introduced to new writing skills (in the areas of sentence structure, punctuation, text organisation and composition and effect) which build upon prior learning.
