Florence Nightingale Visits Brighton Avenue
Year 2 had some exciting visitors on Friday 29th September. Richard, 'That History Bloke', was able to travel back in time and bring Florence Nightingale to our school! The children were able to help Miss Nightingale clean the hospital, as well as learn how to bandage wounds. The children handled lots of artefacts from the Victorian Era and asked Florence lots of interesting questions to extend their learning about their theme.
"It was great fun meeting Florence. She was really kind," said Sophie-Leigh.
