Great Fire of Gateshead

This term we are learning all about the Great Fire of Gateshead and Newcastle.  That History Bloke - Richard came into school to talk to us about it.  We found out what the Quayside was like in 1854 and discovered the jobs that people did in that time.  We even got to try on costumes and handle artefacts from the past!  It was a great afternoon and we were so excited about meeting Richard on the Quayside and finding out more about the fire!
