In DT we have been making our own puppets. We used different joining techniques to create our final product. We had so much fun!
In Maths we we have been exploring numbers to 20. We have been looking at tens and ones.
Today we had a visit from the school nurse. We learnt all about hygiene and the importance of washing our hands.
Today we have been learning about Remembrance Day and why it is so important. We made our own poppies and took part in one minutes silence.
Today be have been having fun in the rain! We put on our waterproofs and went outside for a spooky treasure hunt. We collected pumpkin leaves, witches fingers and monster slime. We then had to explore the monsters slime to see what he had left us. He left us some yummy sweets! Finally we made our own broomsticks. We had so much fun!
This week is parliment week and we have been learning why it is important to vote. We had a vote in our class and really enjoyed filling in our ballot papers.
This week we have been on our trip to the Shipley Art Gallery. We worked hard to create our own fabric. We used wool and soapy water to create our amazing final pieces. We had so much fun!
We had so much fun on our history day. We talked about fashion from the 70's. We worked with our adults to make our clothes and jewellery. We had so much fun!
We have been talking about how important it is to stay safe online. We listened to a story about Buddy the dog and what we should do if we are ever worried. We loved learning his song!
In Maths this week we have been ordering numbers from the greatest to the smallest and from the smallest to the greatest.
In Miss Duffy's RWI group we have been looking at our letter sounds. Aradhya has worked so hard this week and I am VERY proud of her!
In our music lessons we have been using the instruments to keep the beat.
In Art we used ink and shaving foam to create a background for our Tudor picture. We had so much fun and it was very messy!
In Maths this week we have been sorting objects. We worked in a group to sort objects by size, colour and shape.
We had such a busy first week back in Year 1. In our Art project we made our own family tree using different materials. In our fine motor session we had fun playing with the different activities.
