Core Subjects

In Science we have been learning the names of different plants. We designed our own garden and included a range of plants. Have a look at our amazing work!

In our guided reading we went to the school library to look at the different books. We even had time for a class story.

In Maths we have been looking at 2d and 3d shapes. We had fun sorting real life shapes into the correct category.

This week, we have been playing phonics bingo to help with our phonics sounds! It was great fun and the children were VERY enthusiastic!

We have been writing setting descriptions about the rainforest. Bill was so engrossed in his writing and produced an amazing piece of work!

In Math's this week we have been looking at money. We were able to use the coins to make different amounts of money.

On Friday it was number day. We had so much fun playing in our Math's area. We used the shapes to makes castles and the Bee bots to use our positional language.

In Maths we have been looking at time. We used the clocks to show o'clock and half past. We are getting really good at telling the time!

We have been looking at nursery rhymes in guided reading.
