Social Media
Social media has become very popular in recent years and with it a lot of concerns for parents, carers and educators. Whilst social media is addressed in KS2 computing lessons, it still poses a risk when children are online outside of school. Therefore, at Brighton Avenue, we are committed to supporting parents in understanding both the benefits and risks of social media and how they can further protect and educate their children at home. Below is some further information on age restrictions for using social media and a useful information guide produced by Internet Matters.

Safer Internet Day
We promote online safety within the curriculum and take part in annual events such as Safer Internet Day.
Using the internet safely and positively is a key message that we promote in our school and celebrating Safer Internet Day is a great opportunity for us to re-emphasise the online safety messages we deliver throughout the year.
We would be delighted if you could join us in celebrating the day by continuing the conversation at home. T
