This week during maths the children have been looking at measuring weight. At the beginning of the week the children began by measuring weight using a range of apparatus. They were shown the different ways of using grams and kilograms to weigh objects- grams for light objects and kilograms for heavy objects. The children created a table and had to estimate the weigh of an object then use the scales and weights to see if they were correct. Following on from this the children then looked at converting units of mass, they were given a table and had to convert values from kilograms as a fraction into kilograms as a decimal and then into grams. Although this can be difficult they children did very well.
