Success for all …because every child is a star!
We are thrilled to welcome Year 3JM to the best class ever, where warmth and happiness are at the heart of everything we do.
In our classroom, there is a constant buzz of learning, as we strive to make every child's unique star shine. We believe in prioritising health and well-being, ensuring that every child feels loved, valued, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow and develop.
Our goal is to nurture caring, democratic, responsible, and accepting individuals who will continue to thrive and make positive contributions to our future society. We can't wait to embark on this exciting journey together!
Mrs. Jones will teach you on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, Mrs Miller will teach you Thursday afternoon and Friday. As well as this, both Miss Allan and Mrs. Treloar will be working with you.
Throughout the year, we have so many amazing things planned for you. I know you will all work extremely hard to reach your full potential and achieve all of your goals. There will be lots of challenges but I know you will have lots of fun and enjoy all the wonderful rewards.

After submitting applications to Gemma our Family Support Worker, 3 of the children in our class were chosen for this special job. Well done Ella, Bea and Jayden! You will be a great support to your peers with this very important role.
Our first Pupil of the Week went to Ro and Oliver. Ro has showed so much enthusiasm towards her learning and has shown an interest in all of our new topics. Ollie has been a super role model and has had a great start to Year 3. Well done!!
The children became geologists in Science and investigated which rocks were permeable or impermeable. Using our results they were able to decide which rock would be the best material to make a roof out of.
The children have had a fantastic time during Art Week. They have been learning about a local artist called Charlie Rogers, who painted pictures depicting areas around Gateshead and Newcastle, he was particularly fond of painting Saltwell Park! Charlie grew up in Gateshead and even lived in Westborne Avenue, minutes away from our school. Brian Ratkin, an artist who owns the local art gallery, came in to talk to the children about Charlie Rogers. The children also visited an exhibition of Charlie Rogers' artwork in Gateshead Library.
