To the class page of Year 5B - quite possibly the most amazing class ever... ![]()
Welcome to 5B – the class where curiosity leads the way and laughter is always part of the lesson plan! This year, we’ll be setting off on a fantastic learning adventure, diving into exciting topics, tackling new challenges, and possibly even figuring out how long a glue stick can survive (science, obviously). There will be lightbulb moments, lots of “aha!”s, and maybe the occasional upside-down worksheet – but we’ll do it all together. It’s going to be a brilliant year full of learning, growing, and having a good giggle along the way!

Another fantastic couple of weeks in Year 5! In English, we have been exploring a new story called "Escape from Pompeii". We have been trying to put ourselves in the shoes of the two young characters (Tranio and Livia) and describe how they were feeling at the time of the disastrous eruption of Pompeii. We wrote our own version of the story and tried our best to include all of our Year 5 targets - they were brilliant! We enjoyed a festive stay & play morning with some of our parents where we made Christmas cards and calendars and danced around to Mariah and Wham! We ended the week by decorating our classroom for Christmas which was so much fun! Take a look below at what we have been up to!
