Spring 2026
In Spring the children have learned more about Judaism, digging deeper into what the Holy book is in Judaism, how Jewish people believe the world was created, who Abraham is in Judaism, and exploring the story of Ruth and Naomi.
The children have then thought about why some Christians call the day that they believe Jesus died "Good Friday", thinking about the different feelings that people would have felt on this day, whether the people close to Jesus would have thought it was "Good Friday", and whether there are any similarities between Holy Week and the world today.
Autumn 2025
Year 3 spent time exploring Hinduism in Autumn 1, with a focus on who Hindu people worship. They learnt about the Trimurti, who Braham and Atman are, and looked into which other figures Hindus worship.
In Autumn 2 the children have been learning about the Trinity in Christianity, looking into what symbols are used, what water represents in the Christian faith, and the importance of the Trinity in Baptisms in the Christian faith.
