We are thrilled to welcome you to Year 3JM, the best class ever, where warmth, happiness and learning are at the heart of everything we do.

In our classroom, there is always a buzz of excitement and learning as we help every child’s unique star shine brightly. We believe in putting health and well-being first, ensuring that every child feels loved, valued, supported, challenged and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence.

Our aim is to nurture caring, responsible, democratic and accepting individuals who will continue to thrive and make a positive contribution to the world around them. We cannot wait to embark on this exciting journey together!

Mrs Jones and Miss Allan will teach you on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Mrs Miller will teach you on Fridays. In addition, Mrs Treloar will be working alongside you throughout the year, supporting your learning and helping you achieve your very best.

We have so many exciting opportunities and experiences planned for you this year. We know that you will work hard to reach your full potential and achieve your goals. There will be challenges along the way, but we are confident that you will embrace them with enthusiasm, have lots of fun, make wonderful memories and take pride in celebrating your successes.

During Art Week, the children explored the work of local artist Charlie Rogers. We were delighted to welcome Brian Ratkin, who visited our school to share his knowledge and insights into Charlie Rogers’ life and artistic style.

Inspired by Charlie Rogers’ distinctive artwork of Saltwell Park, the children carefully studied his use of line, detail, and perspective before creating their own sketches in a similar style. They also developed their observational drawing skills through detailed studies of the school’s outdoor environment, closely observing shape, texture, and form.

Through creativity, experimentation, and careful observation, the children produced a range of outstanding artwork that reflects both their artistic development and their appreciation of the local landscape.

Well done to Tommy and Angela on becoming Year 3's very first Pupils of the Week! We are so proud of your hard work, positive attitude and excellent effort. Keep it up!
